P & H Elevators
Parrish & Heimbecker, a
company founded by two flour-milling families in 1909, depicts a spirit of
honesty and integrity from their humble beginnings to their present day
accomplishments. The simple fact that two families remained together in the
grain business for 94 years shows the remarkable commitment to their
partnership and their basic rural values.
In a business where hardships and
downturns have all but decimated the industry, P&H has not only survived
but has prospered as well. Parrish & Heimbecker has grown into a
diversified, vertically integrated agri-food company with over 1,000
employees across Canada and customers in more than two dozen countries.
They
are accredited agents for the CWB and the Ontario Wheat Producers Marketing
Board and have close working relationships with all other pertinent boards
and associations.
It
is through the generosity of Mr. W. B. Parrish Sr., that I am able to share
the photos and history of the original P& H Elevators. Pictures will
change from month to month and as I research more information I will share
it with my viewers as quickly as possible. Please enjoy the journey back to
